In August 2024, the Karazin University Alumni, Faculty and Friends Association contributed to the organization and implementation of the "School of Nuclear Physics" educational project, which took place from August 19 to August 23, 2024, at Karazin University.
The project was designed to enhance high school students’ knowledge of and interest in nuclear physics, modern science, and technology. Participants had the opportunity to attend lectures delivered by leading scientists and experts, take part in practical sessions and experiments, and explore current developments and emerging trends in the field of nuclear physics.
The primary objective of the project was to promote science among young people, foster critical and scientific thinking, support students’ career orientation, and encourage their further engagement in education and research activities.
The School of Nuclear Physics became a platform for communication and collaboration between researchers, educators, and young people, while also serving as an example of support for educational and science outreach initiatives in Kharkiv, even under the challenging conditions of wartime.
