In 2014, the "LandauCenter" was established on the initiative of the university community and the Karazin University Alumni, Faculty and Friends Association.
The center was created to revive interest in science, particularly among young people, and to develop the first university-based intellectual leisure and science engagement space in Ukraine for residents of Kharkiv and visitors to the city.
The Association contributed to the establishment of the Landau Center and continues to support its development by engaging partners and providing educational exhibits for scientific outreach and educational activities. This involvement is aimed at fostering interest in science and promoting interactive approaches to learning.
The Landau Center has become an important part of the educational environment of Karazin University and an example of how the university community and its alumni can work together to advance science and education.
In 2025, with the support of the Association, the Kharkiv Regional Youth Public Organization "Educated Initiative" joined the project as a partner. As part of this cooperation, the organization donated educational exhibits and equipment to the Landau Center, further enhancing its opportunities for science communication and interactive learning.
